DYNAMIC TRIMMING ASSISTANT
- Optimum trim shown for current conditions
- Substantial fuel savings up to 5%
- Improved speed utilization
- Better understanding of the vessel
- Self-explanatory user interface
The Eniram Dynamic Trimming Assistant is a decision support system that enables the crew to constantly operate their vessel at an optimized trim. A self-explanatory user interface displays the current vessel trim and the calculated optimum trim and thus easily enables water resistance, fuel consumption and air emissions to be reduced.
The DTA measures the dynamic trim and effective power of the vessel and collates all relevant and available engine and navigation data. The optimum trim is then calculated by comparing previously recorded data to data recorded in the current conditions, making the dynamic trimming assistant an ideal tool for decision making based on exact information instead of predictions and estimations.
First installations of the DTA system in cruise and freight vessels have demonstrated considerable savings on fuel costs and emissions. Fuel savings of up to 5% have been made possible by using this system.
The Eniram Dynamic Trimming Assistant also uses the following equipment to gather information about the vessel: - Attitude sensors
Attitude sensors are installed on the vessel, which provide the system with highly precise vessel trim, list, hull motions, vibration, twisting and bending data. Advanced filtering then shows the dynamic attitude in all conditions. - LEMAG Shaftpower
LEMAG Shaftpower is a permanently installed power measuring system that measures the actual power output of the engine. The integration of this measuring system into the Dynamic Trimming Assistant now means that the exact performance and consumption measurement data is not only displayed, but also fully analyzed and utilized.
