Heat Protection Cover

A simple and cost-effective solution

A revised version of SOLAS Chapter II-2 (Construction – Fire Protection, Fire Detection and Fire Extinction”) entered into force on 1st July 2002.  This regulation states that no components installed in machinery spaces may exceed a maximum surface temperature of 220°C.

Indicator valves in particular can reach temperatures of above 220°C.  The LEMAG Heat Protection Cover is a simple and cost effective solution to this problem.

Design modifications to indicator valves are not necessary, provided that insulating covers are fitted.  Indicator valves can continue to be operated using LEMAG Heat Protection Covers.

LEMAG Heat Protection Covers are available in standard sizes of 160Ø x 220mm and 160Ø x 400mm.  Covers can be tailor made according to your specifications.
