Heavy fuel oil has been homogenised successfully for many years. This process improves fuel quality considerably and results in a better combustion. To reduce sludge two LEMAG safety-homogenisers have to be installed, one before the purifier and one in the booster circuit before the duplex filter.

LEMAG has carried out field tests to show that the purifier efficiency is not reduced using homogenised fuel. The fuel analysis carried out by DNV clearly shows that the purifier successfully removed cat-fines, even with fuel homogenised for over 4 hours. Please contact us for more details
